In the midst of my career in business, I made a life-altering decision to seek a stronger sense of purpose in my professional life. I began the transformation of my career by studying Interaction Design. While attending California College of the Arts in San Francisco, I discovered my passion for uncovering contextual experiences and problems from the perspective of the user, and haven’t looked back since. I have gained a wide variety of experience through my work by utilizing design research, interaction design, systems design, storytelling, visual design, and behavioral study.
The summer before my last year of design school, I began an internship with IBM where I was tasked with the redesign of one of their multi-platform products. Shortly there afterward, I continued working for them while finishing up my final year at CCA. After graduation, I was hired by IBM as a full-time UX designer within their Cloud, Data, and AI division.
Prior to working as a designer, I studied finance and graduated from San Francisco State University. Upon graduation, I worked as a consultant for the General Services Administration. From there I went onto work in the private sector for a real estate investment firm.
